OVERVIEW
The Nama NF278 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model is designed to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle positions.
The tread pattern maintains constant road contact. The closer and better road contact upgrades steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. Furthermore, the shoulder tread blocks provide additional biting edges, which grip the road surface. This allows the tire to enhance its cornering and maneuvering ability. This guarantees a safer handling, as the tire ensures a secure performance.
The model provides great all season traction. The tread design and the all season compound boost dry, wet, and winter-weather grip on the road surface. The tread’s siping and notch placement firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges, while the compound keeps the rubber flexible in versatile temperatures. The groove pattern helps to prevent hydroplaning, by eliminating water and slush from the footprint. This significantly upgrades the model’s wet-weather driving safety levels.
The Nama NF278 offers superb load and driving durability. The reinforced internal structure and the special silica compound enhance the tire’s load-handling power by evenly distributing load and driving pressure across the tread area. As the tire does not deform under load and driving pressure, it allows the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
