The Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 is a rugged terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks. Mickey Thompson offers a 45,000 mile tread wear warranty with this model.
This tire model provides excellent all weather traction thanks to the aggressive tread pattern. It grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather and allows the tire to safely perform to its best capabilities. The wide open lateral and the offset circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by evacuating water and slush from below the tire footprint. In this manner, the tire is safe to use in all weather and on all terrain surfaces.
The on- and off-road traction of the model is also first-rate. The tread pattern's enhanced buttress and abrasion resistant rib design grip and the tire is able to conquer all soft, uneven or loose surfaces. Unlike other all terrain tires, this model performs well in mud terrain situations as well. The tire is very versatile in its uses, as it performs just as well off-road as it does on-road. The self-cleaning nature of the tread pattern cleans out mud and snow from between the tread elements to maintains traction and road contact.
The versatile terrain performance is further enhanced as the tread design ejects stones and rocks stuck between the tread elements. The beveled edges and stone-ejector ribs eliminate rocks from the tread, which prevents stone retention and resists stone drilling. As the rocks and stones do not remain near the tread for a long period of time, they are not able to harm the tread. The rock ejecting feature increases the tire's damage resistance as a result.
The Baja ATZP3 offer a quiet and comfortable on-road drive. The low pitch variation sequence of the tread pattern cancels out the road and pattern noise and sound frequencies while the tire is in motion. This reduces the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle, making the driving experience more enjoyable.
