OVERVIEW

The Michelin XDS 2 is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made to be mounted on the vehicle's drive axle.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The symmetric tread design's high-density siping detail finds firm grip on dry, wet and winter weather roads. As a result, the tire safely performs on wet and winter weather road surfaces as well. The model's wide grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning resistance and excellent all weather traction work together to ensure a safer driving experience.

The special groove design maintains a clean footprint. The groove bottom protectors and the angled groove walls clean out mud and snow and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. In this manner, the tire's footprint is never blocked from its contact with the road surface, while the tire effectively prevents stone retention. Stone retention or stone drilling may cause harm to the tire's casing as it can puncture the tire, which is why the tread's self-cleaning nature is such an important feature.

The XDS 2 guarantees a longer lasting tread life. The deep tread design and the symmetric tread design improves the tread life and the tire's usability. The deeper tread extends the tread life significantly. The non-directional symmetric tread design manages to evenly distribute the driving and load pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking elongates the tire's usability by preventing irregular tread wear formations across the tread area.
