OVERVIEW
The Michelin X LT A/S is a highway terrain, all season tire model manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Michelin offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with R speed rated sizes and a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty with the T and H speed rated sizes of this model.
The model offers great all weather traction thanks to its special all season tire compound and tread design. It becomes safer to use in dry, wet and winter weather as the tire does not lose its traction in the colder winter temperatures. The tire offers 25% more security against dangerous hydroplaning situations in wet conditions with the specially designed tread grooves. This also improves the wet weather traction and provides excellent year round driving safety.
The tire's specially reinforced internal structure features two radial plies and dense inner wires. This, along with the Evertread Technology, makes the tire able to conquer rougher on-road conditions and increases its load carrying ability. The tire is reinforced to carry and withstand heavy loads and it can be either load range D or E rated for its extra durability. The enhanced internal structure and load durability improves the tire's usability and safety.
A longer lasting tread life is guaranteed by the Max Touch Construction that promotes even tread wear, even in severe road conditions. The tire's footprint is optimized in a way that it distributes the forces of acceleration, braking and cornering across the tread area. This prevents irregular wear patterns from forming on the tread. The longer even tread wear makes the tire usable for a longer period of time and improves its tread life.
The Energy Saving Construction lowers the tire's overall weight and with it the rolling resistance. This is the force that determines how much energy the vehicle will use to maintain the tire's motion, in other words how much driving pressure is affecting the tires. The reduced rolling resistance lessens the vehicle's fuel usage and CO2 emissions, which makes the tire more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient.
The X LT A/S has exceptional performing ability without sacrificing safety, durability or fuel efficiency. The Total Performance Technology increases the tire's performing capability by maintaining constant road contact and easing the driving pressure off of the tire.
