OVERVIEW
The Michelin Primacy MXV4 is a touring all season tire made for passenger and crossover vehicles. Michelin offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire has exceptional all weather traction and it grips the road well in dry, wet and even in light winter conditions thanks to the unique blend of compound materials and the Active Siping tread design. The sipes in the symmetric tread design interlock to provide additional biting edges to enhance the year round traction. The circumferential and lateral grooves avoid dangerous hydroplaning situations by dispersing water from below the tire footprint. The special unique tire compound and siping design increase the all season driving safety.
Longer lasting usability and tread life are the result of the tuned footprint provided by the Max Touch Construction. This prevents irregular tread wear patterns from forming across the tread area by evenly distributing the driving pressure, in other words the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking, along the tread area. The prevention of uneven tread wear allows the tire to be used for a longer period of time as it maintains even wear.
The Comfort Control Technology provides superb comfort levels. Its optimized tread area and precision manufacturing provide a comfortable and quiet driving experience. The tread lowers the road noise generated while the tires are in motion by negating the sound waves traveling through the tire footprint. The tire's shape allows it to closely follow the road surface, which decreases the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin. The combination of these factors improves the driving enjoyment.
The Primacy MXV4's specially reinforced internal structure upgrades the driving stability, steering responsiveness and high speed durability. The twin steel belt structure reinforced with the BAZ (Banded At Zero) Technology's spirally wrapped nylon cords maintains the tire's optimal shape and does not let it deform under the driving pressure. This internal structure also stabilizes the all weather drive and improves the steering responsiveness and accuracy. As the tire is quicker and more accurate in its response to the driver's instructions, it is easier to control all year.
