OVERVIEW
The Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 ZP is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model was manufactured with Michelin's Zero Pressure, or ZP, technology. This technology reinforces the tire's structure, which enables it to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers after air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, the model can still be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This limited temporary performance prevents the tire from being stranded on the side of the road. Instead, the vehicle can be driven to a nearby location where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. Run flat tires are made for vehicles without space for a spare tire. They should not be mounted on the same vehicle with regular tires.
The tire offers exceptional all weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the Silica+ compound work together to ensure the tire's secure dry, wet and winter weather high speed performing safety. The compound and the Helio+ technology improves the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, including cold winter situations. The tread's rounded shoulders and siping placement and the biting edges in the grooves increase the tire's grip on the road surface, even when driving on ice and snow. The circumferential and angled lateral grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint, maintaining the surface contact and effectively preventing hydroplaning. The evenly circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking effectively avoid irregular wear formations.
