The Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 is a performance and high performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire promotes excellent winter weather traction. The tire compound and tread design work together to increase the snow and ice gripping ability. The silica-based Helio sunflower oil compound maintains its optimal flexibility in cold temperatures as well, while the asymmetric tread design finds good grip to ensure a safer drive. The tire received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol that notes its capability of conquering the harshest winter weather. The tread design’s circumferential grooves actively prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint.
The model’s controllability was also enhanced. The tread design’s different elements work together to ensures a safer performance. The tread design features 3D StabiliGrip sipes that firmly grip the road surface. These sipes create and improve the friction generated when braking to effectively shorten the braking distance, promoting a safer drive. They, along with the tread design, increase the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability. The tire is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it, while the steering becomes quick and precise in its responsiveness to the driver’s commands. The outer shoulder tread design upgrades the cornering ability and power by boosting the number of biting edges that grip the road surface. The combination of these elements ensures a more secure drive in all winter weather.
The Pilot Alpin PA4 guarantees exceptional performance. The internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with the FAZ Technology, spirally wrapped polyester cord filaments, maintain the tire’s optimal shape.
