OVERVIEW
The Michelin Energy LX4 is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Michelin offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty.
The model provides excellent all weather traction with the special tread pattern and tire compound. They grip the road remarkably in dry, wet and winter weather, increasing the year round driving safety. The four circumferential and numerous lateral tread grooves prevent dangerous hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. The better road gripping ability and water evacuating system improve the all weather driving experience.
The tire offers a longer lasting tread life and usability with the MaxTouch Construction and the long-lasting tire compound. The compound slows the tread wear rate down by resisting wear. The MaxTouch Construction optimizes the tire footprint. The optimized tire footprint equally spreads the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking out across the tread area, which prevents irregular tread patterns from forming. The longer lasting even wear and the enhanced tire compound, extend the tread life.
The tire is more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. The Energy Saver and MaxTouch Construction reduce the rolling resistance. They optimize the tire shape and the tire's footprint which evenly distributes the driving force across the tire. This takes the pressure off of the model and reduces the rolling resistance. The lower rolling resistance, in turn, decreases the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. As a result, the vehicle needs less energy to maintain the tire's motion, making it more cost efficient.
The ComfortControl technology was used to ensure a more comfortable and quiet driving experience. The tire has an optimized tread pattern and precision manufacturing was used during its construction. These lower the road and pattern noise heard and the vibrations felt by the passengers in the vehicle's cabin. The reduced road noise and vibration levels offer a more enjoyable drive.
The Energy LX4's continuous center rib maintains constant road contact. The enhanced contact between the tire and the road improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability.
