OVERVIEW
The Mastercraft SRT Touring is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Mastercraft offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with the V and H rated sizes and a 65,000 mile warranty with the T speed rated sizes of this tire model.
The model promotes excellent all weather traction and road gripping ability. The all season tread pattern features a five-rib design and an increased number of lateral grooves. This ensures road grip in dry, wet and winter weather. The tire actively prevents hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. The improved hydroplaning resistance and superb road grip guarantee a safer year round drive.
The Stability Control Siping technology was used in the manufactured of the tire. This technology boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability, in other words, the tire's controllability in all conditions. It utilizes 3D sipes to stabilize the tread elements and prevent them from shifting. As a result, the steering becomes quick and precise and the tire itself is secured against the driving pressure. The better handling and stabilized tread elements enhance the tire's road contact and promote a more secure drive.
The Stability Control Siping technology's stabilized tread elements prevent tread flexing, which can lead to uneven tread wear. This allows the tread design to evenly circulate the driving pressure along the entire tread surface. In this manner, the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking are not concentrated on one part of the tire, but it is equally spread out across the tread area, preventing irregular wear patterns from forming across the tire. The tire is also made out of a durable tire compound which lows the tread wear rate significantly. The longer lasting even wear extends the tread life and the tire's usability.
