OVERVIEW

The Kumho KRT12 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's trailer axle.

The longer lasting tread life upgrades the tire's usability. The symmetric tread design and the durable compound work together to enhance the tire's tread wear rate. The ribbed pattern with the solid shoulder ribs prevents irregular tread wear during cornering, while the rest of the ribbed design ensures even pressure distribution. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid irregular wear formations along the tread area. The prevention of uneven tread wear lengthens the tread life and service life.

The symmetric tread design also boosts the all weather traction. The wider footprint closely follows the road surface at all times, while the siping detail of the middle ribs boosts the grip in dry, wet and winter weather. The siping detail increases the number of biting edges gripping the road surface to enhance the year round performance. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. This allows the tire to increase the wet and winter weather driving safety.

The KTR12 improves its controllability with the constant road contact. The symmetric ribbed pattern's better road contact improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The better control over the vehicle enables the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle in various conditions.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
