OVERVIEW

The Kumho Ecsta Le Sport is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire promotes great summer traction. The asymmetric tread design and the summer weather compound boost the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The asymmetric tread's dual pattern improves the dry performance (outer tread area) and enhances the wet weather traction (inner tread area) to ensure constant road contact. The inner tread area and the circumferential grooves work together to prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The special summer compound is heat-resistant, which ensures excellent performance. However, the tire is not suited to be driven in winter weather.

The tread pattern design enhances the model's controllability. The dual pattern upgrades the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the braking capability. The tread design's outer area maintains the tire's road contact at all times. This increases the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands and it stabilizes the structure against the driving pressure affecting it. The inner tread area, with the optimal siping detail, creates friction at the moment of braking. This effectively shortens the braking distance by improving the braking capability. The tread design also features heat dimples that prevent heat build-up during the tire's high speed performance. This enables the tire to perform to its highest capability.

The Ecsta Le Sport features the Rotate Wear Indicators that visually represent the tread wear rate. This allows the driver to see when the tires need to be rotated to ensure a lengthened tread life and usability.
