OVERVIEW

The Kelly Edge HT is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Kelly offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the light truck sizes and a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with the SUV sizes.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The special tread design and the all season tire compound increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The tread elements manage to firmly grip the road surface, while the compound maintains its optimal flexibility in all weather conditions. The wide grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The combination ensures a safer year round performance and driving stability.

The special tread design's maintained road contact enhances the tire's controllability. The reinforced center rib keeps the tire close to the road surface and boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise, while the tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. The shoulder tread blocks provide additional biting edges needed for a safer cornering and maneuvering. The better control over the tires ensures a secure performance in all weather.

The shoulder tread blocks are reinforced to prevent tread flex. As the tread elements do not shift about while the tires are in motion, the tire's footprint is stabilized. This enables the model to evenly spread out the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally distributed forces of acceleration, cornering and braking extends the tread life and the tire's usability by avoiding irregular tread wear formations. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
