OVERVIEW

The Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire ensures excellent summer traction. The asymmetric tread design and the silica-based tire compound work together to increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The asymmetric tread elements increase their grip on the road surface by offering additional biting edges. The silica compound provides a secure grip and traction in such conditions with its optimized rubber materials. The tread's circumferential grooves and special cooling system decrease the possibility of hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the footprint and upgrade the wet weather driving security.

The model's tread design also improves its controllability. The asymmetric tread pattern's center ribs boost the steering responsiveness and driving stability with the maintained road contact. The upgraded contact with the road surface enhances the tire's quickness and accuracy in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The tire's internal structure features wide steel belts, a rayon carcass line and a high stiffness bead filler work to upgrade the high speed performing capability. These enhancements enhance the high speed driving ability and provide full control over the vehicle to the driver.

The tread design and optimal compound work together to decrease the model's rolling resistance. They visually portray the tire's tread wear rate and manner. Their wear pattern represents the tread wear of the tire. If the two parallel alignment indicators wore out identically, the tire has an even tread wear. However, if there is a difference in their wear, it means that the tire is wearing in an irregular manner. In such cases the vehicle's alignment should be checked before the tire develops an irregular wear pattern.
