OVERVIEW

The Hankook TH22 is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for commercial trucks. This model is specially designed for the vehicle's trailer axle.

The model ensures excellent all weather traction. The tread design closely follows the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather conditions to ensure a safer performance. The circumferential grooves resists hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint. Their zigzag pattern also manages to maintain a clean footprint by eliminating snow and ejecting rock from between the tread elements. In this manner, the tire resists stone retention, which may cause harm to the tire's casing, while ensuring a secure driving experience.

The tread design's solid center rib keeps the tire's road contact at all times and improves its controllability. It manages to stabilize the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it, while it boosts the steering responsiveness and accuracy to the towing vehicle's instructions. The smooth shoulder design further increases the tire's road contact area. The better road contact upgrades the length of the tread life by evenly distributing the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lengthen the tread life and usability by preventing irregular tread wear.

The tire's reinforced and optimized belt structure ensures a fuel efficient drive. It lowers the belt deformation that, in turn, decreases the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the force affecting the tire that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The lower the rolling resistance is the lesser the towing vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions becomes, promoting a fuel conscious and environmentally friendly performance.

The TH22 features an enlarged carcass structure and a strengthened bead structure.
