OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks. Goodyear offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the model.
The tire is capable of handling all off road terrain with ease. The traction ridges, the open shoulder tread pattern and the self-cleaning nature of the tread, which cleans out mud and snow from between the tread elements to maintain constant road contact and traction, improves the all terrain capability. The tire easily conquers all uneven, loose and soft road surfaces. It performs just as well on road as it does in off road conditions, making its usability more versatile.
The tire's tread pattern and silica-based tire compound increase the year round traction. The tread grips the road well in dry, wet and winter conditions and the tire is marked with the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol, as it is capable of handling severe winter weather conditions. The wide tread grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. This also increases the wet weather traction and it offers all weather safety.
The model offers enhanced safety both on and off road. Its sidewalls were manufactured in a way that the they guard the rims in all conditions, preventing accidental curb or other off-road damage. The sidewalls were also manufactured with the Durawall technology that protects the sidewalls from on and off road damages, such as punctures, cuts or abrasions. This enhances the tire's performing capability, as the driver does not need to worry about damages causing harm to the tire.
DuPont Kevlar was used to reinforce the internal high tensile twin steel belt structure of the tire. They upgrade the model's toughness and durability. By doing so the tire is able to maintain its optimal tire shape under the driving pressure. As the tire does not deform under the driving pressure, it improves its performing ability significantly. The Kevlar reinforcement also boosts the load carrying capability as it provides extra strength on all road surfaces.
The Wrangler SilentArmor offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The high tensile steel belt construction spirally wrapped with the DuPont Kevlar stabilizes the tread area. The stable tread elements do not shift around during the drive, which decreases the road noise generated. The tread design channels the airwaves through the tire footprint, without letting them come into contact with the tread elements.
