OVERVIEW

The Goodyear G182 RSD is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles.

The model was produced from a special fuel saving compound. This increases the tire's traction in all weather to ease the driving pressure off the tire, successfully lowering the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the external driving pressure affecting the tires, which determines the amount of energy the vehicle uses to maintain the tire's motion. The reduced rolling resistance, in turn, decreases the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In this manner, the tire offers a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly performance.

The tread pattern improves the length of the tread life. The tread's special tie-bar shoulders and siping detail work together to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid the formation of irregular read wear across the tire surface. The longer lasting even tread wear significantly lengthens the tread life and the tire's usability, making the tire more cost-efficient.

The G182 RSD's tread design and flat footprint boost its controllability. The non-directional tread design and the flat footprint closely follow the road surface and ensure even pressure circulation to increase the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering is faster and more precise, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure as a result. The improved control over the tires ensures a secure maneuvering capability, even with heavier loads.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
