OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Eagle NCT5 ROF is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire was made with the run flat technology, which enhances the tire's structure. As a result, the tire is able to support the weight of the vehicle and passengers for a limited time after the loss of air pressure. In case of a puncture or cut, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph, which prevents the driver from being stranded on the side of the road. Run flat models cannot be mixed with regular tires, as their constructions are heavier, and they are usually made for vehicles without space for a spare tire.

The model offers exceptional summer weather traction. The combination of the special tire compound and the tread pattern firmly grips the road surface in dry and wet weather. This model, however, will not perform well in winter conditions. The tire compound does not maintain its flexibility in colder temperatures and it is not recommended to be used in such weather. The wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water from beneath the tire's footprint, promoting a safer drive.

The tire promotes an increased tread life. The specially designed tread pattern, with the center twin ribs and the shoulder tread blocks, boosts the tread life by preventing irregular tread wear. The tread design evenly spreads the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking out across the entire tire surface. The Eagle NCT5 ROF ensures first-rate handling and maneuvering. The tread designs twin continuous center ribs improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability by maintaining road contact at all time.
