OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Cargo G26 is a highway terrain, summer tire manufactured for commercial vehicles.

The tire has superb summer weather traction and, thanks to the tire compound and tread pattern, it grips the road well in wet and dry weather. It will, however, not perform well in winter conditions as the compound loses its traction in colder temperatures, which makes it dangerous to use in such situations. The tread pattern's circumferential grooves prevent dangerous hydroplaning by evacuating water from below the tire footprint. This makes the tire safer to use in wet weather as it also increases the wet traction.

The tire's staggered tread block sequence offers a longer lasting tread life and lowers the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle. They prevent irregular wear patterns from forming on the tread area of the tire which, together with the deeper tread grooves, increases the usability and tread life. The variable pitch tread design lowers the road and pattern noise created while the tires are in motion by creating a frequency that cancels out the soundwaves. This offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience.

The Cargo G26 is easy to control and handle as the semi-open shoulder grooves improve the driving stability and steering responsiveness. The better stability and precise steering responsiveness allow the driver to confidently control the tire both in wet and dry weather. The model's four rib tread pattern improves the load carrying ability. The tread evenly spreads out the load pressure across the tire and maintains its optimal tire shape. This prevents premature wear across the tread area and it makes the tire easier and safer to handle.
