OVERVIEW

The Forceum Penta is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some high performance sizes as well.

The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The asymmetric dual zone tread design features a dry, a wet and a winter weather tread area that increase the model's dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The wet area's two circumferential grooves and numerous sipes increase the water and slush channeling ability, which actively resist hydroplaning as a result. The better hydroplaning resistance and improved all weather traction ensure a safer year round driving experience.

The tread pattern features three center ribs and large shoulder tread blocks located on the tire's dry zone. They work together to improve the model's controllability in all weather. The three center ribs keep the tire close to the road surface and upgrade the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the braking ability. In other words, the steering becomes quick and more precise to the driver's instructions, the tire's structure becomes stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire, and the constant road contact creates friction at the moment of braking to ensure a shorter braking distance. The shoulder tread blocks increase the number of biting edges that grip the road surface, which boosts the cornering ability and power significantly, making the tire easily controllable.

The constant road contact of the three center ribs also upgrades the fuel efficiency. They keep the tire close to the road surface in all weather, improving the tire's traction and easing the driving pressure off the tire. This results in a lowered rolling resistance, which is the pressure affecting the tires during the drive that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The lessened rolling resistance manages to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions greatly, promoting a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly drive, in all weather.

The Penta also guarantees a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The tread design's wet zone features a variable pitch sequence that lowers the road noise generated while the tires are in motion. The pitch sequence negates the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin by creating a sound frequency that cancels them out. In this manner, the road noise does not reach the vehicle's cabin which offers an enjoyable drive.
