OVERVIEW
The Firestone Radial ATX is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for light trucks.
The tire greatly improves the all terrain traction. The aggressive tread design utilizes the zigzag lug pattern and high void ratio in order to ensure a secure soft, loose, and uneven terrain surface grip. These tread elements allow the tire to enhance the versatile terrain performance, boosting the deep mud and loose dirt performance. The tread's self-cleaning ability keeps the footprint clean, eliminating mud, snow, and rocks stuck between the tread elements. Mud and snow are dispersed, ensuring the surface contact. Stone retention is also avoided, as rocks cannot drill into the tread area.
All weather traction is also ensured. The all season compound and the detailed tread elements work together to boost the dry, wet, and winter weather traction. The stronger compound optimizes the rubber flexibility during the performance. The tread design also enhances the grip on the road surface with extra biting edges. During the tire's on-road drive, the groove pattern allows the tire to disperse water and slush from the footprint. As a result, the tire avoids hydroplaning in wet weather conditions.
