The Firestone FR740 is a performance and high performance all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. It has some touring sizes too.

The tire offers excellent all weather traction. The all season tire compound and the tread pattern increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound does not lose its road grip in colder temperatures, while the tread elements keep their firm grip on the road surface at all times. The wide flow-through circumferential grooves effectively resist hydroplaning situations by eliminating water from below the tire's footprint. The safer wet and winter weather traction and constant road contact improve the year round driving safety.

The tread design manages to improve the model's controllability. The tread design's center rib increases the steering responsiveness and driving stability. It upgrades the steering to be faster and more precise in its response to the driver's instructions, while at the same time it stabilizes the tire against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive. The tread design's shoulder tread block sequence increases the number of biting edges that grip the road surface. The more biting edges improve the cornering and maneuvering capability and ensure a safer driving experience.
