OVERVIEW
The Firestone Destination ST is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for sport utility, crossover and light truck vehicles.
The special asymmetric tread pattern features crisscross sipes and angled and tapered grooves with carving edges. They, along with the all season tire compound, boost the all weather road gripping ability. The tire promotes excellent dry, wet and winter weather traction. The asymmetric tread design's offset circumferential grooves and open shoulder slots actively prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. The result is a safer year round driving experience.
The asymmetric tread design's large tread elements and the carving edges of the tread grooves improve the tire's controllability. These tread elements maintain constant road contact in all weather. The better road contact enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. As a result, the steering response to the driver's instructions becomes quicker and more accurate, while the tire's driving stability is solidified against the driving pressure. The shoulder tread pattern sports large tread blocks that provide additional biting edges during cornering and maneuvering.
