OVERVIEW
The Firestone Destination LE is a touring all season tire model manufactured for SUV and light truck vehicles. Firestone offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire's internal structure features a spirally wrapped continuous nylon cord that enhances the tire's uniformity even during high speed driving. The uniformity is further boosted with the O-Bead structure which places a single strand of continuous cable in the tire's bead that allows the tire to closely follow the road surface. The better tire uniformity not only helps increase the high speed performing capability, but it also lowers the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin during the drive.
The tread pattern decreases the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin while the tire is in motion. It has a five-degree tread pattern that creates a sound frequency that cancels out the road noise while the tires are in motion. The road noise is negated the moment it is generated, which offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The model was manufactured with the Computer Optimized Component System or CO-CS. This system optimizes different element of the tire's construction to enhance its performing capability. It optimizes the tread design, the casing shape, the materials used in the tire's manufacture and the tire's internal construction to ensure excellent performance all year. The better performing capability ensures a safer drive.
The tire offers excellent all weather traction. The tire compound and the tread pattern work together to improve the road gripping ability in dry, wet and winter weather. The active polymers in the tire compound boost the tire's wet and winter weather traction. The circumferential and lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint, enhancing the safety levels.
The Destination LE offers a long lasting tread life and tire usability. The L. L. Carbon used in the tire's compound creates an interconnecting link throughout the tire's surface on a molecular level. This evenly distributes the driving pressure across the tread area and prevents irregular tread wear from forming along the tire. The longer lasting tread life is further boosted with the tire's resistance to damages and punctures, such as cracking and tearing, making it last longer.
