The Firestone Champion Fuel Fighter is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Firestone offers a 70,000 mile tread wear warranty with this model.
The special new silica-based tire compound used in the tire's manufacture and the optimized tire footprint work together to extend the tread life. The compound slows down the tread wear rate, while the optimized footprint prevents irregular wear patterns from forming across the tread area. The longer lasting even tread wear extends the tire's usability, making it more cost-efficient.
The silica compound and the tire's lightweight internal structure offers a fuel-efficient drive. The tire's rolling resistance is lowered with the enhanced road gripping ability of the tire compound and the lower overall tire weight. The rolling resistance is the force that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to consume to maintain the tire's motion. The lessened rolling resistance decreases the vehicle's fuel usage and CO2 emissions, making the tire more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
The optimized tire footprint and the reinforced internal structure boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering response to the driver's commands becomes quick and precise with the constant road contact, while the reinforced structure stabilizes the tire against the driving pressure.
