OVERVIEW
The Falken RI130 Ecorun is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles to be mounted on the steer axles.
The tire promotes exceptional all weather traction. The ribbed tread design with the closed shoulder pattern enhances the tire's road contact, which enhances the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The wide circumferential grooves also enhance the all season driving safety as they actively resist hydroplaning situations by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The better hydroplaning and better all weather traction ensure a secure year round performance.
The maintained road contact also manages to enhance the tire's controllability. The ribbed tread design keeps close to the road surface at all times, enhancing the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes quick and precise while the tires are in motion, while the tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The closed shoulder ribs enhance the cornering ability by ensuring constant road contact at all times, to provide a safer driving experience.
Various aspects of the tread and structure enhancements work together to extend the tread life. The advanced stress dispersion, contoured shoulder rib and uniformity safeguard also manage to prevent irregular tread wear formations. They equally distribute the driving pressure along the tread area, which forces the treadwear to be even. Furthermore, the tread wear rate is slowed down with the reduced rolling resistance. The lower rolling resistance is the result of the 4D Nano technology that prevents heat buildup on the tire's tread. This manages to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making it more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient.
The RI130 Ecorun is damage resistant. The decoupling grooves prevents tearing on the tread area, while also taking the strain affecting the casing off the tire. This avoids damage from harming the tire and from shortening the tire's lifespan.
