OVERVIEW

The Dunlop Winter Maxx is a touring winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire promotes great winter weather traction and it has received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol for its ability to conquer severe winter weather conditions. The Nano-Fit compound and the tread design work together to boost the cold temperature dry and wet condition road gripping ability. The compound combines flexibility and rigidity to help enhance the ice and snow traction. The Maxx Sharp Edge with Miura-Ori sipes of the tread design increase the number of sipes located on the tread elements and improve the traction on ice and snow-covered road surfaces. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The result is a safer winter weather driving experience.

The model offers exceptional controllability. The asymmetric tread design with the larger number of biting edges improves the tire's road contact. This significantly upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's instructions, while the tire's structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting it. The larger shoulder tread block sequences manage to maintain constant road contact and heighten the number of biting edges during cornering and maneuvering. The enhanced cornering capability and overall handling ensure a secure performance in all winter weather.

The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with the Jointless Band Technology's spirally wrapped nylon cord and a polyester cord. The reinforced steel belts manage to maintain the tire's optimal shape at all times. They prevent deformation to the tire's structure while the tires are in motion, guaranteeing the winter weather driving safety. The polyester cord enables the tire to closely follow the road surface. As the tire keeps its road contact, it is capable of absorbing the shock of driving, which reduces the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin.

The Winter Maxx ensures a longer lasting tread life. The Maxx Sharp Edge with Miura-Ori sipes increase the stability of the tread blocks while the tires are in motion. This prevents tread flexing and enables the tread design to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out force of acceleration, cornering and braking effectively resists irregular tread wear formations and ensures an extended tread life and tire usability.
