Cooper Evolution Winter
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Winter weather traction
- Longer lasting tread life
- Enhanced controllability
OVERVIEW
The Cooper Evolution Winter is a touring winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes excellent winter weather traction. The silica-enhanced tire compound and the directional tread design with the high-density siping detail increases the cold temperature, ice and snow road gripping ability. The tire is pinned for studs, which can be added in accordance to the state laws for extra ice and snow gripping ability. The open shoulder pattern and the wide grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The better traction and hydroplaning resistance enables the tire to receive its three mountain peak and snowflake symbol, which notes its capability to perform well in harsh winter weather.
The model's internal structure features twin steel belts and a polyester casing cord. They strengthen the tire's structure and prevent the deformation of its shape under the driving pressure affecting it. The maintained optimal tire shape increases the tire's uniformity, which in turn improves the tire's road contact. The better road contact enables the tread pattern to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lengthen the tread life and the tire's usability by resisting the formation of irregular wear across the tire surface. The even tread wear ensures an extended tread life and usability.
The Evolution Winter is easily controlled. The twin steel belts keep the tire's optimal shape, while the tread design's sawtooth center pattern maintains the tire's road contact at all times. This combination enhances the model's controllability even in the most severe winter conditions. The steering is faster and more precise in this manner, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting it. The result is a safer winter weather control and driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
