The Continental ContiSportContact 5 ContiSeal is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for SUVs and passenger vehicles.

The tire's detailed tread ribs and optimized compound materials are ready for summer weather performance. The tread ribs provide superb traction on dry and wet roads with better road contact. The compound prevents heat build-up in high temperature conditions. The circumferential and lateral groove placement disperses water from the footprint, preventing it from blocking the road. This maximizes the driving surface contact all the time and actively resists the risk of hydroplaning on wet road surfaces.

The optimal tread elements work together with the lighter compound to provide a fuel efficient driving experience. The tire is able to lower the rolling resistance, the force that determines how much energy is needed to maintain a constant forward motion. As the rolling resistance is lowered, the tire is able to lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In other words, the tire guarantees a cost efficient and environmentally friendly performance.

This model is able to stay in shape and prevent the air from leaving the tire in case of a puncture. The ContiSeal technology is able to close up any puncture up to 5 mm in diameter even if the object is removed. It is able to instantly fix 80% of all punctures, preventing the tire from completely deflating. This technology prevents the vehicle from being stranded on the side of the road.
