OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Dueler H/L D683 is a highway terrain, all season tire created for SUVs, pickups and crossovers. Bridgestone offers a 65,000 mile warranty with this model.
Longer tread life is achieved by the 5-rib footprint that ensures evenly distributed driving pressure along the tread area. This way, heat and pressure buildup is minimized. Since pressure is evenly distributed, the tire can also endure more load. The overall result of this tire structure is significantly slower tread wear, as the entirety of the tire tread is evenly used at all times.
This tire brings comfort and peace of mind to light truck and SUV owners while guaranteeing handling and traction. The center ribs being in line with the side bars is a design choice that plays a huge role in reducing vibrations. Such an optimized footprint also ensures the voice cancellation and comfort one needs for a relaxed ride.
Uniform wear is achieved by adding layers of nylon to the tire tread, which supports the tread area and prevents tread flexing. With this footprint design, the grip of the tire is also greatly improved and the chance of side-slipping is minimized. Uniform road contact is maintained during wet conditions as well, as the aggressive tread pattern takes care of water dispersal.
The footprint consists of three continuous center ribs that help in maintaining road contact, enhancing handling and steering responsiveness as a result. The two shoulder ribs on the side help with cornering, while notches and voids of the tread help with braking. The sidewall of the tire is made of a strong rubber material mix. This strong compound noticeably improves braking and cornering.
The Dueler H/L D683 is created with low rolling resistance in mind. The even wear and the round shape, thanks to the O-Bead technology, both play a huge role in making this tire a worthy fuel-effective option. Since rolling resistance is minimized, there is less energy required to get the tire rolling. With the stiffer sidewall, the tire generates less heat. Lower heat buildup means that less energy is consumed, which is an important factor for fuel conscious driving.
