OVERVIEW
The Blackhawk BTL66 is a highway terrain, all season tire tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It is made for the vehicle's trailer axle.
This model offers a longer lasting tread life, thanks to the special tread design and durable compound materials. These features work together to extend the tire's overall service life. It utilizes its ideal tread design to evenly distribute load and driving pressure across the tread area and effectively avoid irregular wear formations. The compound, on the other hand, slows down the tread wear rate and prevents premature wear. The ribbed tread is also able to lower the rolling resistance, which in return reduces fuel intake and CO2 emissions, thanks to the Blackhawk's Fuel Saving Technology.
The strengthened internal structure prevents the model from losing its ideal shape while under larger load and driving pressure. Instead, the tire does not deform, and it is able to carry and withstand larger loads for long periods of time. The stronger tread design balances out load and driving pressure to avoid excessive pressure build-up, which in return further improves the overall load capacity of the model. This makes the tire perform well under heavy load, making it an excellent choice for commercial vehicles.
The Blackhawk BTL66 utilizes its ribbed tread elements with a center groove to provide superb traction in various weather conditions. The tread ribs with siping and notch placement offer exceptional traction in wet, dry, and winter weather conditions. The compound materials keep the rubber flexible throughout the performance. The grooves are able to channel water and slush away from the footprint to avoid hydroplaning on wet and snowy roads.
