Blackhawk BFL56 FST
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Extended Tread Life
- Improved Controllability
- All Season Traction
OVERVIEW
The Blackhawk BFL56 FST is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model can be installed on the steer axle of the vehicle.
This tire guarantees longer lasting tread life with its all season rubber compound mix and extra wide tread. The five-rib tread consists of three center ribs and two, extra wide shoulder ribs. With such a large surface contact area, driving pressure is always evenly distributed. In addition, the pressure generated during cornering, braking and acceleration are also evenly circulated, preventing irregular tread wear.
The five-rib design with the wide, closed shoulder ribs provides a solid base for the tire to rely on. It prevents slipping, while enhancing the driving stability and steering responsiveness. The tire's enhanced controllability is closely related to the reliable all season traction it offers. Its maneuverability comes from the consistent road contact that makes sensitive steering easier and enhances accuracy in response to the driver's commands.
The BFL56 FST's all season compound can seamlessly establish traction in a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. The four circumferential grooves are there to deal with all the snow, mud and water that gets in the way. There are tiny lateral sipes on both sides of each center rib and on the inner side of both shoulder ribs. Those help a lot when it comes to moderate to harsh wet road conditions by raising the number of biting edges available on the tread.
