OVERVIEW
The Achilles ATR-K Sport is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for track racing applications.
The tire promotes excellent summer weather traction. The maximized footprint and tread area maintain the tire's road contact at all times. This not only improves the dry and wet weather traction, but it also minimizes the energy loss of the vehicle during its performance. The special compound enables the tire's flexibility during its high speed driving, which further improves the driving safety. The zigzag lateral and two center circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning and increase the wet weather traction. This tire is not suitable to be driven in winter conditions.
The model ensures a secure high speed performance. The tread design's special Supreme Dot Technology enlarges the tread surface area which comes into contact with the road surface. With these dot elements in the tread, the tire actively prevents heat build-up along the tread area. The prevention of heat build-up enables the tire to perform at its greatest capability without additional driving pressure slowing it down. This, along with the maximized road contact, enables the tire to decrease its energy loss during its high speed racing performance, making it more efficient on the race track.
The tread pattern also helps the model upgrade its controllability. The tread's continuous center rib upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the steering is faster and more accurate in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. The better control over the tires enables the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle.
The ATR-K Sport was designed with a special rim guard. This rim guard allows the tire to avoid accidental curb and other damage from harming the rims during the tire's performance.
