Priority Tire offers a wide range of all terrain models for your SUV or light truck. Mastercraft’s Courser AXT is one of our all terrain models that guarantee superb all terrain and all weather traction, a secure handling and a lengthened tread life. This model comes with a 50,000 mile warranty.

All Terrain Traction

All terrain tires maintain their exceptional traction and performance on all terrain surfaces, during both on- and off-road driving. They are designed with an optimized tread pattern which firmly grips all soft, loose and uneven terrain surfaces, while also promoting a secure on-road drive. These tires keep a clean footprint to ensure constant terrain and road surface traction.

The Courser AXT’s tread features an aggressive design, which increases the tire’s grip on all terrain surfaces. The aggressive five-rib detail, extra lateral grooves and the buttress shoulder design with the alternating scallops improve the tire’s grip on all soft, loose, uneven and rocky terrain surfaces. The additional lateral grooves and the optimized shoulder pattern heighten the number of biting edges when driving in deep mud and loose dirt, preventing the tire from being stuck on such terrains. In this manner, the tire is capable of handling all terrain surfaces with ease.

The model also maintains a clean footprint. The tread design’s self-cleaning nature cleans out mud and snow and ejects rocks stuck between the tread elements. The tread design’s dual intermediate tread elements and the special stone ejectors are responsible for keeping the footprint clean at all times. They prevent the tire from being blocked from its contact with the tread elements, while also actively resisting stone retention from harming the tire’s casing. This allows the tire to upgrade the driving safety.

All Weather Performance

All terrain tires are designed to ensure constant year round traction. Their aggressive tread design is capable of firmly gripping the road surface throughout the year, including in winter weather to guarantee first-rate driving security in all conditions.

The Courser AXT’s tread design features wide zigzag grooves and independent tread blocks with the detailed siping pattern. These tread elements keep a firm and consistent grip on the terrain and road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. The sipes increase the number of biting edges needed to maintain an excellent winter weather traction, which is also boosted with the special zigzag circumferential groove pattern. This allows the tire to securely perform in all weather and guarantees a safer driving experience all year round.

The special tread design improves the tire’s wet and winter weather traction during its on-road performance. The clean footprint does not allow snow to be stuck between the grooves in winter weather, while the wide zigzag circumferential disperse water and slush from below the footprint to actively resist hydroplaning. Hydroplaning is a dangerous road hazard which can easily cause accidents if tires mounted on the vehicle are not safe in wet conditions. The constantly maintained road contact of the Courser AXT promotes a safer performance.

Handling and Controllability

All tires must be easily controlled to ensure a secure performing capability. They must balance an optimal road and terrain contact to improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The tire’s controllability greatly depends on its tread design and internal structure.

The Courser AXT was manufactured with an aggressive symmetric tread pattern that closely follows the road and terrain surface at all times. Its increased number of lateral grooves and the flat footprint enable the tire to keep a constant surface grip and contact. The tread’s optimal pattern enhances the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the model becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s steering commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting it. The structure is also reinforced with the stronger internal construction, which maintains the tire’s optimized shape during its performance. This allows the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle on all terrain surfaces.

Lengthened Tread Life

A longer lasting tread life is an important feature that drivers consider when purchasing a new tire set. The longer the tread lasts the longer you don’t need to worry about changing your tires again. An extended tread life can be achieved by preventing irregular tread wear formations on the tire’s surface.

The Courser AXT promotes a lengthened service life. Mastercraft offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with both the SUV and light trucks sizes of this model.

The model’s tread pattern features an enhanced tread block stiffness which successfully avoids uneven tread wear. The individual tread elements offer first-rate tread stiffness during the drive. This actively resists tread flexing while the tires are in motion. The prevention of tread flexing manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area as the tire provides an optimized road contact area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid the formation of irregular tread wear, which upgrades the tire’s usability significantly.

  • All season traction
  • Self-cleaning tread
  • Enhanced controllability
  • Longer lasting tread life
