Continental Conti HDR 5
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Upgraded load durability
- Longer-lasting tread life
- Year-round traction
OVERVIEW
The Continental Conti HDR 5 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model is designed to be mounted on drive axle positions.
The tire's tread area and compound blend boost its usability. The optimized tire footprint spreads driving pressure equally across the tread area. The even distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering, and braking prevents irregular wear across the tread area. As a result, the ideal tread pattern is resistant to uneven tread wear as it increases the tire's driving stability. The improved stability, the slower wearing tread, and the prevention of uneven wear combined extend the tire's usability.
Better structural durability is ensured with the tire's exceptional load capacity. The reinforced internal structure and the special silica compound enhance the tire's load-handling power, by evenly distributing load and driving pressure across the tread area. As the tire does not deform under load and driving pressure, it allows the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease.
The Continental Conti HDR 5 provides great all season traction. Better dry, wet, and light winter grip is offered with the detailed tread design and the all season compound. Stronger rubber materials keep the tire pliable throughout the year, optimizing its summer and winter performance. Additionally, the tread's sipes create biting edges, upgrading its road grip. Grooves combat hydroplaning in wet conditions. They channel water and slush from the footprint, increasing its wet grip.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
