Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
The Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero Serie II Run Flat is a performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire guarantees first-rate winter weather traction. It has received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol for its ability to handle the harshest winter conditions. The tire compound is Pirelli's special Temperature Dynamic Compound that allows the tire to be driven in both fall and winter. It is only unable to handle hot temperature conditions. The tread design features a high density siping detail that boosts the model's road gripping ability on snow and ice-covered roads. The tread grooves actively resist hydroplaning by evacuating water and slush from below the tire's footprint and ensure a safer cold temperature driving experience.
This model was designed with the run flat technology. Its strengthened structure enables the tire to be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, it promotes a limited, temporary performance as the stronger structure withstands the weight of the vehicle and its passengers. This offers a safer driving experience as the vehicle will not be stranded on the side of the road once the tire gets damaged. These tires are able to improve the driving safety levels significantly.
The model is also easily controllable. The large number of sipes maintain road contact at all times which increases the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The constant road contact stabilizes the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it in winter weather, while the tire's steering is upgraded to be quick and precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands. Pirelli's patented Interactive Brickwork Siping design allows the tire to stop faster. They grip the road surface and create friction at the moment of braking to boost the braking ability and shorten the braking distance significantly, making the drive more secure.
The Winter 240 Sottozero Serie II Run Flat's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide cords. It enhances the tire's durability by maintaining its optimal shape. As the tire does not deform under the pressure affecting it, it is capable of performing to its best capability. The internal structure works together with the tread design's inner area, which boosts the snow traction, to ensure a comfortable drive. The optimized tire shape allows the tire to closely follow the road surface, while the tread keeps the excellent traction. This combination reduces the road vibrations heard in the vehicle's cabin during the drive, which ensures a comfortable drive.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

To ensure that you are purchasing the correct tire size for your vehicle, please check the size of your currently mounted tires (locate on the tire's sidewall). The tire's sidewall also features the speed and load rating, indicating the speed and load capacity of the specific tire. The speed and load index can differ from the tires you currently have mounted on your vehicle up to a degree. Please check your vehicle's Owner's Manual or consult with your mechanic regarding the changes of your tire's speed rating and load index.
