Commercial Tires - Trailer Position
Trailer axle tires provide exceptional load durability. They are the heavy lifters among the tread elements. They are made to be mounted on the vehicle’s trailer axle, or on commercial trailers. They feature strengthened internal constructions to enable the tire to optimize the heavy load carrying and handling capability.
Trailer axle tires come with two types of construction. They provide radial and bias ply structures. The bias structure provides stiffer sidewalls which optimize the fuel efficiency, while optimizing the heavy load durability. On the other hand, the radial construction helps to keep the tire cool during the performance, avoiding heat build-up and irregular wear formations, while simultaneously optimizing the load capacity.
