Commercial Tires - Drive Position
Drive tires are made for the vehicle’s drive or torque axle. This axle is located at the commercial truck’s rear. Drive tires were made to be mounted on the rear axle to optimize the overall traction. The versatile weather traction is ensured with the aggressive tread pattern and with the tread block and siping placement.
Drive axle tires are responsible for correctly following the steer axle’s steering instructions, which increases the driving safety levels. The durable compound, the strengthened tread elements and the optimized surface contact guarantee the tire’s year round performance. However, the stronger traction helps to minimize the vehicle’s fuel consumption by easing the driving pressure off the tire.
