OVERVIEW

The Yokohama YK-HTX is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Yokohama offers a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty with SUV sizes and a 50,000 mile warranty with the light trucks sizes of this model.

The tire has superb all weather traction as the multi-sipe blocks and the triple 3D sipes provide excellent year round traction and the siping design on the tread grips the road well in wet, dry and winter conditions. The multi-sipe blocks have additional biting edges to conquer winter weather and snow conditions. The circumferential grooves help resist hazardous hydroplaning in deeper water by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. The exceptional traction and the hydroplaning resistance make this tire safe to use in all weather conditions.

The model offers a longer lasting tread life. The combination of the optimized road contact patch, the triple 3D sipe detail and the orange oil-based tire compound helps prevent irregular wear across the tread by distributing the driving pressure equally across the tread area. This prevents irregular wear on the tread, allowing its use for a longer period of time. The triple 3D sipes also maintain the exceptional traction throughout the tire's life as they change with the tire wear, never losing their road grip. This provides more stability and it lengthens its tread life.

The tire compound used in the manufacture of the tire is orange oil-based. It lowers the overall weight of the tire, which in turn reduces the rolling resistance. This enables the tire to save fuel and energy as it decreases the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the vehicle.
