OVERVIEW

The Yokohama 101ZL Spec-2 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made for the vehicle's steer axle.

The all season traction and the optimized tire casing ensure the surface contact at all times. This eases the pressure off the tire, minimizing the overall rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle's fuel intake needed to keep the tires in motion. Lowering the rolling resistance enables the tire to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels. This results in the vehicle's fuel efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.

The maintained surface contact greatly improves the length of the usability. The symmetric ribbed pattern's sipe and rib detail equalize the pressure distribution across the tread area. The equally circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking resist irregular wear formations. The stronger compound elements minimize the treadwear rate, greatly lengthening the service life. On the other hand, the stronger compound also manages to avoid the tread's chipping, cracking and tearing, significantly boosting the overall service life.

The 101ZL Spec-2 boosts the load durability. The wider belt package and the reinforced bead structure improve the load and driving durability. They strengthen the tire and maintain its ideal shape under the load and driving pressure. In this manner, the tire can securely carry and withstand heavy loads with ease, further boosting the load capacity.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
