OVERVIEW

The Toyo M177 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The computer-optimized ribbed tread pattern and the all season compound improve the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The ribbed pattern, with the siping pattern and the wide grooves, offers a consistent grip on the road surface, while the compound maintains the rubber flexibility even in colder temperatures. The wide circumferential grooves help disperse water and slush away from the tire's footprint, effectively preventing hydroplaning and boosting the wet and winter weather traction.

The ribbed tread design enhances the tread life. The solid shoulder ribs of the ribbed pattern enable the tire to closely follow the road surface at all times. This allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The balanced circulation of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid the formation of irregular tread wear on the tire's footprint. This extends the tread life and the tire's usability significantly.

The M177 guarantees a fuel efficient performance. The fuel saving compound and the ribbed pattern decrease the tire's rolling resistance. They ease the driving pressure off the tire, while keeping its excellent traction. In this manner, they reduce the rolling resistance, which is the driving pressure determining the amount of energy needed to maintain the tire's motion. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
