The Nexen Winguard Sport is a performance and high performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire promotes great winter weather traction. The winter compound works together with the asymmetric tread design to enhance the model's grip on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The compound keeps the rubber flexibility in colder temperatures, while the tread design, with the high-density siping detail, upgrades the grip the tire has on the road. The four wide circumferential and the smaller lateral grooves disperse water and slush from below the footprint, effectively resisting hydroplaning in the process. As a result, the tire is able to securely perform in winter weather conditions.

The tread design and the stronger construction increase the high speed controllability. The structure maintains the ideal tire shape under the high speed pressure, while the tread closely follows the road surface during the drive.
