OVERVIEW

The Michelin LTX M/S2 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs, and light trucks. Michelin offers a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.

This tire offers excellent all weather traction, including in light winter weather. This superb traction is the result of the silica-enhanced tread compound and the specially designed tread pattern, both of which offer additional road gripping force. The model is also hydroplaning resistant, as the lateral tread grooves evacuate water from beneath the tire, offering a safer drive.

Thanks to the manufacturer's Green X Technology the tire has a reduced rolling resistance. The lowered resistance, in turn, lessens the fuel consumption and the CO2 emissions of the vehicle. This energy efficient improvement makes the tire both economic and environmentally friendly. The decreased rolling resistance also slows down the tire's tread wear rate. Also contributing to the increased tread life is the equal distribution of the driving force, which prevents irregular wear on the tires. The even wear across the tread enables tire to be used longer.

The tread pattern's 3D Active Sipes Technology increase the tire's steering precision and response time. With this improvement, the tire becomes easier to handle and control in all weather conditions.
