Product Description

Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Kenda Loadstar K550

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • All weather traction
  • Enhanced durability
  • Excellent towing stability
  • Longer tread life

OVERVIEW

The Kenda Loadstar K550 is a touring all season tire manufactured for trailers.

This trailer tire promotes excellent all weather traction. Its tread compound and tread pattern upgrade the dry, wet and winter weather traction. Trailer tires do not need to have as great a traction as the towing vehicle's tires do, however, the better road grip improves the driving safety. The tread design's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The safer traction and enhanced performance guarantee a more secure driving experience.

The tire's bias ply construction enhances its durability. It strengthens the tire's structure and prevents deformation. This boosts the model's load carrying ability and driving performance. The stiffer construction improves the towing vehicle's power over the trailer as it enables the trailer tire to precisely follow the towing vehicle's instructions. The flatter tire profile also upgrades the driving stability by securing the tire against the driving pressure affecting it. The better stability allows the tire to precisely follow the towing vehicle in all weather.

The Loadstar K550 was manufactured with a special tire compound. The compound is resistant to tread wear, which slows the tread wear rate down significantly. This allows the tire to last longer and to be used for a longer period of time. The tire compound also prevents heat buildup and decreases the rolling resistance. This reduces the amount of fuel the towing vehicle consumes during the drive and ensures a more fuel efficient driving experience.

This is a bias ply or diagonal tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller diagonal tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.

The photo is a representation of the tire's possible deformation, it does not represent the specific tire model, size, tread pattern and application.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
