OVERVIEW

The Continental CrossContact UHP SSR is a performance and high performance, summer tire made for SUVs.

The asymmetric tread pattern and the special silica compound improve the tire’s performance at all times. These elements work together to keep constant contact with the driving surface, for better steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire’s steering response time is faster and more accurate to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. At the same time, the wide shoulder blocks maintain close contact with the driving surface, upgrading the tire’s cornering and maneuvering. This combination enables the driver to have full control over the vehicle.

The model offers excellent summer traction. The ideal tread design and the summer compound improve the tire’s performance in dry and wet conditions. The optimized tread elements firmly grip the surface with extra biting edges, while the special silica compound protects the tire from heat build-up along the tread area in warmer temperatures. On the other hand, the optimized grooves effectively resist hydroplaning, by dispersing water from the footprint in wet situations.

This tire is manufactured with run flat technology. The reinforced internal structure enables the tire to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers after air pressure loss. This limited, temporary performance protects the tire from being stranded on the side of the road. It guarantees the tire’s safe driving experience even after air pressure loss. Run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires.

The Continental CrossContact UHP SSR promotes excellent driving durability and handling power. The strengthened internal structure does not allow the tire to deform under driving pressure, while the special silica compound prevents heat accumulation along the tread area in warmer temperatures. These elements guarantee a safe high speed performance.
