OVERVIEW

The Carlisle CT2040 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.

The model offers great load and driving durability. The strengthened structure and the durable compound upgrade the load capacity. The structure does not allow the tire to deform under load and driving pressure, while the tread manages to evenly distribute driving pressure along the tread area. This promotes the tire to improve its overall load durability, which enhances the tire to securely carry and withstand larger loads. The result is a strong load capacity.

The tire manages to effectively increase its overall controllability. The ribbed center tread area maintains surface contact, boosting steering responsiveness and driving stability. On the other hand, the shoulder details provide additional biting edges, which greatly improve the tire’s cornering. The groove and sipe placement create friction when braking, significantly shortening the tire’s stopping distance. These enhancements ensure the tire’s secured handling and maneuvering at all times.

The Carlisle CT2040 provides great all season traction. The ideal tread pattern and the all season compound enhance the tire’s dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. In this manner, the optimized tread design closely follows the road at all times, while the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. Circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water and slush from the footprint, in order to resist hydroplaning.
