OVERVIEW

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 is an all terrain, all weather tire manufactured for light trucks. BFGoodrich offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire has excellent all weather traction and it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather. It provides great road grip and traction even on soft and loose surfaces such as snow and mud and it does not lose its traction in difficult conditions. The tire is marked with the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol which indicates that it is capable of handling the most severe winter weather, as the 3D interlocking sipes increase its biting edges for such conditions. The tire also resists hydroplaning, as the high void ratio tread design evacuates water from below the tire footprint.

This model has excellent all terrain grip and it is capable of handling all soft, loose and uneven off-road surfaces. The tire’s tread design is mainly responsible for this improved off-road capability. The sidebiter lugs provide exceptional grip in mud, snow and on rocks, even when the tire is deflated. This allows the tire to effortlessly conquer all off-road surfaces. The all terrain traction is further improved with the self-cleaning nature of the tread. The mud-phobic shoulder bars and the stone ejectors eliminate mud, snow and rocks stuck between the tread elements. As a result, the tire maintains constant road contact since the tread grooves do not get blocked. The tire also performs well on-road, making it perfect for drivers looking for versatility in their tires.

A number of enhancements increase the tire’s resistance to different damages. The Coreguard Technology makes the model resistant to bruises and splits that can happen during off-road driving. The thicker rubber and special tire compound prevents chipping, cracking and tearing that can be caused by weather damage or irresponsible handling. The increased deflection protects the tire from snagging and splitting, while the stone ejecting tread prevents stone retention. All of these improvements allow the tire to last longer, as they prevent different kinds of damage.

The shoulder tread pattern increases the tire’s all weather handling and controllability. The tread maintains road contact under any circumstance and increases the steering responsiveness and accuracy. The tire is quick and precise in its response to the driver’s instructions, making its controllability easier and effortless. As the tire’s response is improved, the driver is capable of confidently controlling the tire in the differing road conditions.

The All-Terrain T/A KO2 offers a longer lasting tread life. The optimized tire footprint spreads the driving pressure equally across the tread area. The even distribution of the force of accelerations, cornering and braking prevents irregular wear across the tread area. The interlocking tread pattern is resistant to tread wear as it increases the tire’s driving stability. The improved stability, slower wearing tread and the prevention of uneven wear combined extend the tire’s usability and life.

All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
