Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Armstrong Tru-Trac AT

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • All weather traction
  • All terrain traction
  • Lengthened tread life
  • Enhanced controllability
  • Road hazard warranty offered by Armstrong

OVERVIEW

The Armstrong Tru-Trac AT is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Armstrong offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

Armstrong offers one of the best warranties in the tire industry. The brand promotes a limited 6 year warranty covering manufacturing defects. They also provide a road hazard warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance for the first 2 years after the purchase is made.

The model offers excellent all weather traction. The symmetric tread design and the all season tire compound increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound maintains its flexible traction even in colder temperatures, while the tread design ensures constant road contact and grip to guarantee a safer performance. The tread's wide circumferential grooves and open shoulder design upgrade the hydroplaning resistance by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced traction and hydroplaning resistance promote a secure year round performance.

The tread pattern features large, staggered tread blocks, wide grooves and an open shoulder design that increase the model's capability off-road. The tire is capable of easily conquering all soft, loose and uneven terrain surfaces. The tread design upgrades the off-road driving safety by promoting stronger traction on such surfaces. The staggered tread elements also maintain a clean footprint by eliminating water and slush and ejecting rocks stuck between the tread elements. The constantly clean footprint upgrades the traction, while the prevention of stone retention prevents damage to the tire's casing.

The special rugged tread design and casing ensures a safer controllability. The tread elements maintain the tire's road contact both on and off-road and improve the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The large shoulder tread blocks heighten the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface. This enhances the cornering and maneuvering capability and promotes a safer driving experience.

The constant road contact and the tire's stronger internal structure lengthen the tread life. The special connecting bridge of steel belts between the shoulders stabilize the tread area. This prevents tread flexing while the tires are in motion. The stable tread area, as a result, manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area, preventing irregular wear formations across the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking, in this manner, extends the tread life and the tire's usability.

The Tru-Trac AT guarantees a comfortable drive. The tread design features an interlocking center rib which closely follows the road and terrain surface. This absorbs the shock during the drive, effectively lowering the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin. The reduced road vibration levels ensure a safer driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
