The Achilles Desert Hawk UHP is a high performance summer tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire provides superb summer weather traction and it will grip the road excellently in dry and wet weather conditions. The model will, however, not perform well in winter, as the tire compound loses its good traction in colder temperatures. The circumferential grooves in the tread pattern prevent dangerous hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint, improving the model’s safety in wet weather conditions.
The tire compound was manufactured with high levels of silica in it. This further improves the summer weather traction, especially the wet traction, of the tire, while also enhancing other aspects. The tire’s rolling resistance is lowered with the higher silica levels, which, in turn, decrease the fuel usage and CO2 emissions of the vehicle. The tire is more environmentally friendly, while also allowing a lower energy usage to achieve the same mileage.
The longer lasting tread life is also enabled by the high silica levels. The tread compound equally distributes the driving pressure across the tread area. As a result the tire wears out evenly, because irregular wear is prevented by the tire. The tire is usable for a long period of time, making it more cost efficient.
The tread design’s solid center rib increases the linear driving stability of the model and its steering responsiveness and accuracy.
